Busy, Busy

Just a quick little post here as time is short.

We have loads of work that have kept us very busy, the new school year is upon us (starting next week)-- yes, we'll still be homeschooling the children as they have done far better this way. Our land requires a lot of work with the fruit trees and berries producing-- not as much as we'd hoped for, but given the rather odd weather, we're happy.

Pretty much, we've had no time for socialization as work (Hubby w/ his two jobs and our two properties; me with everything else; the kids w/ year-round school) has kept us over-taxed on limited time. There is just not enough time in the day.

Labor weekend will see us extremely busy, and will be Hubby's first day off in about a month. Winter, we think, will soon be upon us and there is just far too much that needs done so that we can be "set" for whatever this winter will bring. Given our history of winters just after we move to a new location, I'm expecting massive amounts of snow and power outages.

We are, in spite of all the work, loving our home and property. We are satisfied with the work and watching what the work produces; we've been brought closer together, and can see the products of our labor (and those of the sellers, since it started with them).

Be safe. Be happy. Have fun. Work hard. Remember to extend grace. Lots of lessons we're learning, such is the case under chronic stress/trials, I suppose.
