The latest update from us. . . we have decided to put Girl back into public school, having made the decision today. It's taken some time to come to this decision, but we are confident that it's for the best, for each of us! Girl will get more challenges (which she's been lacking, thus gets bored easily), will have the opportunity to make new friends in this area, and get on the road to being in high school.
And I will, at long last, get some 'down time', so to speak. Having homeschooled two kids for three years has definitely been one of the many challenges we've had on our buffet-table life. The reasons for pulling them out of school are no longer applicable, and the reason for homeschooling them are no longer applicable. And since Boy has come home daily from school excited and with stories, Girl seems less anxious than previous and actually seems a bit excited. Another new adventure awaits each of us, what with Boy in high school, Girl in middle school, and me having the day time mostly to myself again.
Changes don't happen over night, but if you pay attention, you can watch the evolution as it unfolds. In this case, we're getting to watch our children bloom into their teen years, and hope that we've done enough to give them the tools they'll need to navigate life and to face the many challenges and learn the lessons that need learning.
Wow, how busy our life has been! Leaves no room for boredom, that for sure.
